Cute little Sabree loves Lia Sophia. Notice her necklace. One of my favorite things about Lia Sophia Jewelry is the lifetime guarantee. That's the only reason I let Sabree wear my jewelry. She's so cute...whenever she sees someone wearing jewelry she asks if its Lia Sophia and then tells them that I sell Lia Sophia Jewelry. She is my little sales girl.

Front Lawn Campout!

With very few weekends left of warm weather we decided we should sleep out under the stars with the kids. We slept on the front lawn on Saturday night. It was a lot of fun! Of course, the kids loved it and didn't fall asleep until 10:30 at night. Luke and I stayed up even later looking at all the stars. It was breathtaking. Luke showed the kids the big dipper and I had him envisioning a constellation that I had made up. It was a horse named O'Brien. He completely believed me! We had a lot of fun, even though it was a long night. We found out that nights in Kanosh are actually quite busy with both people and animals, who'd of thought!

Oliver's funny words!

Oliver said a bunch of funny things today. First of all, Luke took a break from work for about 10 minutes today to play some baseball with Oliver. He hit the ball so hard one time and it hit Luke in the stomach, he thought it was the funniest thing. He ran in and told me all about it. Then Luke had to work again so I told him that I would throw the ball to him. He laughed and shook his head at Luke and said "no way dad, she's just a girl!".

Later in the day I was on a walk with Oliver and Jaylee and I said "We're buddies aren't we?", he responded, "No, I'm just a boy and you are just a girl!" I'm starting to feel like I'm being discriminated against.
On a more positive note, when I did throw the ball with Ollie, he brought me close and told me that he's a gentleman and that he won't hit me in the stomach with the baseball, only dad! He's such a funny kid!

Sabree completed her first week of school. She's so grown up and so beautiful! She's very independent and opinionated right now. She wants her hair a certain way and I have no say in her clothing. She's a character and I love her so much.

Bigger right before my eyes!

We have a first grader now! I can't believe it! Sabree is getting so big. She started first grade today and you wouldn't believe how excited she was. The school provided breakfast for students and family members this morning. Oliver, Jaylee and I went to breakfast with Sabree and got to see Grandma Adams who works in the lunchroom at the elementary. After breakfast we visited the class room and met Sabree's teacher, Miss Weight. She is the tiniest person. If she hadn't had high hills on she would have only been a head taller than Sabree. I've heard great things about her, she'll be a great teacher for Sabs. After school the first things we heard about were lunch (chicken nuggets) and recess 3 times. She was actually a little bugged that she had to go to recess three times, she would rather learn!

Later that afternoon Oliver visited with the speech therapist at the school. After the evaluation she informed us that Oliver's speech in normal for his age. He's a smart little kid! He starts preschool in 2 weeks and he is so eager to learn. We've been practicing shapes, colors, letters and numbers. Today the letter of the day was "P". He walked around all day laughing while he made the sound of the letter P. He'd say "PPPP Pee on the Potty". He such a little boy! He makes everyone smile that he comes in contact with!

After speech testing, we were driving home and Sabree decided she wanted her hair cut as soon as possible. So we stopped at a salon on the way home. Her hair is just above her shoulders now and she loves it. "It's so light now mom, I love it!"

To finish the day, we noticed that Jaylee is finally getting her teeth. We noticed one tooth about a week ago just breaking the surface and today we noticed a second. Our family is changing and growing up quickly!

Last outting before school

We spent a couple of hours at the Gunnison Reservoir in Delta on Saturday. The kids had a great time. We went some friends and spent time swimming, playing in the sand and boating. I can't believe that August is more than half way over. This was our last outting before school starts on Monday. TIME FLIES especially when you're having fun!

My little sweetheart! She thought it was so funny to have her feet wet while she was playing in the saucer.

August 14th - Fishing Again!

Our kids love fishing now! We went on Thursday and they each caught a very small fish, but it was still a fish! Oliver actually prefers to catch the little ones. He even touched the one he caught. He told me that "it feels awesome!".

Luke is such a good dad. He loves to fish with the kids! I appreciate all that he does. He works so hard and still helps out so much around the house! Thanks Luke for everything!!!

August 12, 2002; 5:38 p.m.

On August 12 2002 Sabree was born in the Cottonwood Hospital in Murray, Utah. She was born at 5:38 p.m. weighing 9 pounds 9 ounces and 22 inches long. She was the cutest baby! She was such a perfect baby in the hospital following a perfect schedule already!!! Then came the day the hospital sends you home. Suddenly, our perfect, sleepy, quiet baby wouldn't stop crying. Luke and I were scared to death. We lived in Wendover at the time and had to make the 2 hour drive home. She cried the entire way so the drive took us closer to 3 1/2 hours. We almost took her back to the hospital to inform them that something was wrong. She continued to cry until she was 3 months old. No one could figure out what was wrong including the doctors who say she has "colic", what ever that is!!! Even through all the crying we love our little Sabs. She's such a helpful, sweet little girl. She's taught us a lot about life and what is truly important. We love you Sabree. Happy Birthday Sweetie!

Well baby check up

I took Jaylee to the doctor yesterday for her well baby check up. She is only 9 1/2 months and she is so big. She is already 21.4 pounds and 29 inches long. I didn't want to buy a convertable carseat for only 2 1/2 months of use but the doctor said that she is strong enough to sit forward facing in a car seat now. She LOVES it! She grins the entire time she gets to sit in the car seat. It's really cute! Next to riding in the car facing forward, Jaylee's newest thing is waving. FINALLY! We've been practicing. She's such a happy little baby! We love you JJ!

Friends and lots of Fun!!!

Becky came down from Idaho with her little boys to visit so we stayed in Orem so we could spend some time with our friends that we don't get to see nearly enough. Becky and I have been good friends for probably close to 10 years. Sabree and Sam spent a lot of time together for the first 3 years of their . Ethan and Oliver don't know each other as well but they are the same age. When we all get together we have a lot of fun! We spent a while at Carl's Junior for lunch and the kids played. That night, Sabree had her first sleepover! She had so much fun and thought she was so big. We miss you Becky.

The kids could not stop laughing over these funny faces!

August 2nd

Swimming again! This time we went to Lisa's parents pool. It was so fun! Sabree went down their big, fast slide. It scratched her up a little bit but she decided to go down again. The second time she got all scratched up again and was crying. I advised her to stay off of that slide. Instead she decided if she sat on a kicking board when she went down the water slide she wouldn't get scratched. She went flying down the slide at top speed! In fact, she went so fast that she bumped her head really bad. She is such a brave little girl. I've never seen anyone go down a slide so fast! She ended up being okay!

August 1st

Only the first day of the month and it's already busy. We spent the morning at the pool with Jill and Tyler. The kids love to swim. Oliver wears his goggles all the time even though he hardly ever goes under water. After swimming we went to an Orem Owlz game with Che' and Lisa's family. Tons of fun!!!
