The kids looked so cute for church today. Sabree and Jaylee got new matching dresses for Christmas and Oliver got a shirt and tie that matched their dresses. The girls looked beautiful and of course Oliver looked handsome.

Christmas Eve Pictures!


This Christmas was by far my favorite Christmas Eve/Christmas. On Christmas Eve we went to the annual Kanosh Christmas program. It was really good. They read the Nativity story from the scriptures and the Primary children sang Christmas songs throughout the program. At the end Sabree, Luke and I sang the Nativity Song from the Primary Children's Song Book. We all sang the 1st and 3rd verse together, Sabree sang the 2nd and 4th verse alone and on the 5th verse Luke and I sang the 1st two lines and Sabree ended with the last two lines. She was incredible. There were very few dry eyes in the audience. Her voice was so sweet! I was so proud of her. After the spiritual part of the program Santa Clause came. After sitting on his lap we came home, played games as a family then emptied Christ's stocking and read all the acts of service that we performed throughout the month. After reading scriptures the kids went to bed, Luke and I played more games, wrapped presents and of course didn't make it to bed until about 1:00 a.m. The kids were up by about 6:00 and sent back to bed until about 6:45.

Christmas morning was perfect. The kids absolutely loved their gifts. I really enjoyed only having three gifts for each child. They really appreciated the gifts and actually spent time playing with all of them instead of being overwhelmed with gifts! It was great! Here are some pictures of the kiddos!

Thank You Grandma and Grandpa Adams!

There is nothing more fun then 6 kids under the age of 6 opening presents on Christmas! We spent Christmas afternoon at Luke's parents house. Bart and Lorna's girls are the exact ages of our kids and they all have so much fun together. There were lots of presents!!! The kids all got pajama's which they loved! Sabree got High School Musical p.j.'s. When she opened them she was trying to get my attention to show me her p.j.'s so she said, "Mom, Hello!" It sounded like she was in high school! Jaylee's p.j.'s have a cat on them. She stood in front of the mirror (our closet door is a mirror) for a long time giggling and signing cat. It was really cute! Oliver wanted Power Rangers and Hulk from Santa. Santa brought him Power Rangers but after he opened all his presents at our house he said, "Where's my Hulk?". We had to explain to him that we don't always get everything that we want. Of course we knew that Grandma and Grandpa Adams had gotten him a Hulk toy that moves and makes sounds so we were excited for him to open it. Today his Hulk and Buzz have been having wars!

Thank you so much for all the gifts Grandma and Grandpa! We love them all. Luke and I really appreciate the gift you gave us too. Food Storage is exactly what we need right now! We love you guys!

Merry Christmas Grandma & Grandpa Oliver

Wow! Thank you so much for all the Christmas presents! The kids are having a blast! Sabree loves Gabriella and Troy and Oliver has not stopped playing with the Batman remote control cars. They are great! Jaylee starting opening the Noah's Arc present and before she had it completely unwrapped she saw one of the animals and started signing dog and horse and cow! I had to finish unwrapping it because she was so busy signing! They love the presents! Thank you so much.



Luke and I have been working really hard to get all of our food storage. Thank you Mom and Dad for the food storage and he water container!

ONLY IN KANOSH

During this time of year a lot of people in Utah look out in their yards and see deer. It's such an exciting part of winter to watch the deer as they come down from the mountains. In Kanosh, however, we look out in our yard and see stray cows! No joke! Today after church we looked out our front yard and saw a cow hanging out on our snowy lawn. It was hilarious. I ran to grab the camera but it took off. I love this little town!

Spreading Christmas Joy

We went Christmas caroling tonight with about 25 people. It was so much fun! We sang to 6 different homes and even brought tears to some of the recipients eyes. We must have great voices! It really felt great to visit some of people in town that really appreciated the company. I felt like we were serving the Lord. This time of the year is a constant reminder of the opportunity we have to give to others through service. I hope that everyone has a very Merry Christmas and spread the love and joy with all of those around us!

Rudolph and Dancer

Sabree made these cute antlers at school and the kids played with it for over an hour. The question is, why do we spend so much money on expensive toys that go untouched when they're more than content with 10 cent antlers?

These are my two little girls. They look quite a bit alike. I thought it would be fun to put them in similar outfits and the same hair and compare their pictures. Cute little girls!

Sippy the Snowman!

This is Sippy the Snowman. We built him today. The kids just can't get enough of the snow. There really isn't much but we have to play in it the minute Sabree gets home from school. They are so cute and we had a really good time together. (By the way, that is a baby carrot and chocolate chips for the eyes...don't laugh at our huge snowman!)

It was cold outside so I had to take advantage of my cute scarf (thanks Lindsay...I miss you!)

Best Christmas Season!

This Christmas season has been the best for our family so far. We have implemented (or have been more consistent this year) some family traditions that have turned out to be a hit for the kids. Our first Family Home Evening of the month we talked about how Jesus Christ received three present from the Wise Men. We discussed how important Jesus Christ is in our lives and decided that we wanted to focus our Christmas season on giving gifts to Christ rather than receiving gifts from others and from Santa. We came up with 25 acts of service that we would perform until Christmas day. Each day we perform our service, then we put the piece of paper in a stocking for Christ. On Christmas day (or Christmas Eve) we will pull out all of the pieces of paper from Christ's stocking and see how much service we were able to give. The kids have loved this activity and it has really been fun to see them get excited about serving others. So far we have baked cookies for others, written letters to missionaries, cleaned others rooms without being asked...etc.

I really enjoyed the Christmas devotional this past Sunday. President Uchtdorf talked about how many families are cutting back on holiday spending because of the financial crisis that our country is facing. He said that this could be a blessing in disguise. It gives us the opportunity to focus on the true meaning of Christmas and teach this to our children. This year we are giving each of our kids only 3 gifts just as Christ received 3 gifts. This year our kids will get a gift of meaning (scriptures, something homemade, something with meaning or from the heart), a gift of need (coat, clothes, gloves, etc.), and a gift of want (toy). We have discussed this idea with the kids and they are really excited to focus on giving to others and Christ through service, rather than getting lots of toys and presents. (thanks Lindsay for the idea). I hope that this Christmas season we can all try to find ways to bring happiness and love to others and make Christ our focus. These are just some of the ways our family has chosen to do this. I would love to hear your ideas as well.

SNOW DAY!!!

I can't believe it's the second week in December and we just had our first real snow day yesterday! The kids were so excited. I got out all of the snow gear and they headed outside to build a snowman with the thin layer of snow on the ground. Of course, they had to have a carrot for the nose! When they were almost frozen solid they decided to come in for snacks, hot chocolate and extra warm air next to the space heater. They had a great time!

Believe it or not, they did make a snowman that was about 1 foot tall!

Jaylee watched the kids from the window. She laughed and played at that window for almost 30 min. Who knew that a window could be so much fun!

Oliver came inside after a couple minutes of playing and said he needed the goggles to keep the snow from going in his eyes! CUTE!

She's growing up!

I just like this picture of Sabree. She is starting to look so grown up now! She's such a good girl and a great helper around the house. At church, I am her Primary teacher. It has been so fun to listen to her comments in class. She really has a sweet spirit and has a love for the gospel. She teaches me so much every day. I'm so proud of her!

Busy Baby!

I had to post this picture because it is a perfect example of how busy Jaylee is. You cannot open the fridge or anything for that matter without Jaylee right behind you unloading the contents! She is into everything! She really makes me laugh though. She leaves a path of destruction everywhere she goes. Seriously, it's funny!

Family Home Evening

Tonight we had a great Family Home Evening. It's at times like tonight that I am so grateful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am grateful for Family Home Evening, a specific time set aside to be together as a family, to strengthen our relationships and to learn more about the gospel. We had a great lesson and then spent time on a Thanksgiving activity. We made a turkey by tracing the kids feet and hands. The feet became the body of the turkey and the hands were the feathers.


We ended FHE with a family prayer in behalf of Luke's Grandma Turner who is in the hospital in critical condition. It's at critical times like these that we realize how important God is in our lives. He loves us and has a plan for us. I'm grateful for the Priesthood that has been restored to the earth. I'm grateful for the ordinances that are performed through the Priesthood. I know that we can be sealed in temples through the Priesthood making it possible for us to live with our families through all eternity if we live worthy, righteous lives. Grandma Turner is a great example of righteous living. She has faith in Jesus Christ and has taught all of her children this same faith which has been passed down to the next generations. I'm very grateful for that! We take great comfort through the gospel at challenging times and I feel very blessed to be a member of it. We will pray for the best to help and comfort Grandma and all family members as she goes through these challenges. We love you Grandma!

Toothbrush is the Trick

Jaylee looked so cute for church today. She was in her new birthday skirt (thanks Jill for the present) and shirt. As all of you are well aware, 1 year olds are not really easy during church. We never make it all the way through Sacrament Meeting. Today however, we found the trick...a toothbrush. Everyday when I do Jaylee's hair, she sits on my bathroom counter and is totally occupied and holds pretty still playing with a toothbrush. We decided to take a toothbrush to church and see if she sat as still during church if she played with one. It worked! She did the best she has done since we could pin her in her car seat. Next time you feel frustrated at church with your baby, try pulling out a toothbrush!

"This is a fun day"

Sabree has been saying "this is a fun day" all day today. She woke up bright and early to be on the bus in costume at 7:10. Halloween starts so early in Kanosh!!! She had so much fun at the school carnival and with her tiny teacher that dressed up like Minnie Mouse. She was shocked at school when an unknown pumkin came to visit her at breakfast (they serve breakfast at school). It turned out to be Grandma Adams!!!

In the evening there was a Halloween carnival at the church. It was great! I cannot believe how many activities they had set up and how well they decorated. It was a lot of fun! Who knew that Kanosh threw such great parties! After the carnival we went Trick-or-treating. The kids got handfuls of candy at each house. It was crazy! Between both Grandparents, school, the carnival and houses, we are set for the year and we might even have some left over candy to pass out for Halloween next year!

Saby Baby, Spiderman and J-bug!

I just have to write about how much I love my little kids! They are so cute (it's so easy to say that when it's 10:00 at night and they've been sleeping for 2 1/2 hours)! They really bring so much joy to mine and Luke's lives. First of all, Sabree, otherwise known as Sabs or Saby Baby...she is my little helper. I don't know how I would survive motherhood without her. She is always aware of what is going on around her. She notices when I have a lot going on and she's always eager to help out. She is the world's best little cleaner. There are times when she will disappear for a while and surprise me with a spotless room. Granted she can make huge messes too but I can always count on her cleaning it up perfectly! She is incredible! I love her so much and I'm so thankful that she is so thoughtful and helpful.




Oliver is my "good" Spiderman (that's what he calls himself too). He always rescues me with his smiles, his sweet eyes and his laugh! He really just melts my heart. This morning he went to preschool and he got to dress up in his Halloween costume. He was so excited. He's so funny though, he is really into being handsome right now. Everyday after he gets dressed he wants me to spray him with Dad's cologne. Then he asks if he "smells handsome". This morning was no different, he got on his spiderman costume, sprayed the cologne and asked, "Mom, do I smell handsome?". So if you are ever around him and notice that he smells like Hugo or Chrome make sure you tell him that he is handsome. He'll love you forever!!!





J-bug is full of personality. She has so many smiles and squeals! She has been practicing using the phone lately. She always finds the phone, pushes tons of buttons, and then holds it to her ear. The problem is that lately she's actually been calling people. The other day I tried making a phone call but my phone said "other line in use". Then I found Jaylee with the phone and the timer said 20 minutes. Who knows who she called. Today she must have pushed through my phone book and then pushed talk on Grandma Adams number. So, if you get a phone call from my number and just hear a lot of squeals it's just Jaylee talking to you! She has been so fun. She makes us laugh all of the time. No one can get enough of Jaylee. Our biggest problem seems to be at dinner time. The kids argue every night about who gets to sit next to Jaylee at the dinner table. We seriously have to rotate! She's just so much fun, even during meals!

I feel so lucky to have 3 healthy, happy babies. We have truly been blessed!
