"This is a fun day"

Sabree has been saying "this is a fun day" all day today. She woke up bright and early to be on the bus in costume at 7:10. Halloween starts so early in Kanosh!!! She had so much fun at the school carnival and with her tiny teacher that dressed up like Minnie Mouse. She was shocked at school when an unknown pumkin came to visit her at breakfast (they serve breakfast at school). It turned out to be Grandma Adams!!!

In the evening there was a Halloween carnival at the church. It was great! I cannot believe how many activities they had set up and how well they decorated. It was a lot of fun! Who knew that Kanosh threw such great parties! After the carnival we went Trick-or-treating. The kids got handfuls of candy at each house. It was crazy! Between both Grandparents, school, the carnival and houses, we are set for the year and we might even have some left over candy to pass out for Halloween next year!

Jaylee was scared of Grandma's new look!

Saby Baby, Spiderman and J-bug!

I just have to write about how much I love my little kids! They are so cute (it's so easy to say that when it's 10:00 at night and they've been sleeping for 2 1/2 hours)! They really bring so much joy to mine and Luke's lives. First of all, Sabree, otherwise known as Sabs or Saby Baby...she is my little helper. I don't know how I would survive motherhood without her. She is always aware of what is going on around her. She notices when I have a lot going on and she's always eager to help out. She is the world's best little cleaner. There are times when she will disappear for a while and surprise me with a spotless room. Granted she can make huge messes too but I can always count on her cleaning it up perfectly! She is incredible! I love her so much and I'm so thankful that she is so thoughtful and helpful.

Oliver is my "good" Spiderman (that's what he calls himself too). He always rescues me with his smiles, his sweet eyes and his laugh! He really just melts my heart. This morning he went to preschool and he got to dress up in his Halloween costume. He was so excited. He's so funny though, he is really into being handsome right now. Everyday after he gets dressed he wants me to spray him with Dad's cologne. Then he asks if he "smells handsome". This morning was no different, he got on his spiderman costume, sprayed the cologne and asked, "Mom, do I smell handsome?". So if you are ever around him and notice that he smells like Hugo or Chrome make sure you tell him that he is handsome. He'll love you forever!!!

J-bug is full of personality. She has so many smiles and squeals! She has been practicing using the phone lately. She always finds the phone, pushes tons of buttons, and then holds it to her ear. The problem is that lately she's actually been calling people. The other day I tried making a phone call but my phone said "other line in use". Then I found Jaylee with the phone and the timer said 20 minutes. Who knows who she called. Today she must have pushed through my phone book and then pushed talk on Grandma Adams number. So, if you get a phone call from my number and just hear a lot of squeals it's just Jaylee talking to you! She has been so fun. She makes us laugh all of the time. No one can get enough of Jaylee. Our biggest problem seems to be at dinner time. The kids argue every night about who gets to sit next to Jaylee at the dinner table. We seriously have to rotate! She's just so much fun, even during meals!

I feel so lucky to have 3 healthy, happy babies. We have truly been blessed!

Recent pictures of our kids!

Look at these cute kids!!! We got family pictures last night and I could help taking a few of my own pictures! I wanted to post the latest pictures since I haven't blogged in about 2 months. It's amazing how much children can change in such a short amount of time. The kids are growing up and looking more and more cute everyday! I love my 3 little rascals!!!

My baby is ONE!

Well here is a picture of my 1 year old!!! She turned one on Sunday, October 26th. I can't believe it has already been a year. She has been such a blessing in my life. She started out at 8 lbs. 2 oz and 21 inches long (my smallest baby). The other day I took her to the doctor and she was 24 lbs and 34 inches long. She's a tall, "healthy" baby!
I really feel so grateful to have been blessed with her in my life. She has been such a joy to have in our family. She adds so many smiles to my days. She has always had a very sweet, gentle spirit. Until recently she rarely screamed or cried. Now she has found her voice and uses it on occassion. She gets stuck at the top of the stairs and will yell her jibberish until you go and get her. She is also very vocal as she stands next to the tub. She will yell until you find her standing next to the bathtub. Then she will smile and sign bath...she loves bath time! Along with her screaming language she has been developing her sign language quite a bit. Some of the signs she know now are: more, please, all done, milk, drink, bath, dog, cat... she also tries to sign thank you but it always turns into peekaboo! She's doing pretty good though. She is so fun and so smart! I thank Heavenly Father everyday for sending her to me! I'm a very lucky mom!
It didn't take her very long to figure out how to dig into the cake! She loved it!

She was so sad when we had to take the cake away.

It's been a while!

It has been too long since I have posted anything. I kept thinking about all the catching up I needed to do and how long it was going to take me. Well, I decided that I'm not going to catch up. I'm going to start with what is going on now. If I find time later I may catch up then...probably never!!!

Preschool

Oliver is in preschool. I can't believe it! He's getting so big now and he'll let you know it. If you ask him how big he is he either stands on his tiptoes and reaches his hands as high as he can, or he'll lay down on the floor and stretch his arms up.

Anyway, his first day of school was actually September 2nd (sorry for the delay). His cousin Ellie is in his class. Right when he walked into school Ellie ran to him and gave him the biggest hug. It was so cute. Those two are so cute together, they are so nice to each other and have so much fun together. They are going to have a great time being in the same class.
Ollie and I have been working on his letters by sound and sight. We try to do a letter a day and try to use lots of words that begin with that particular letter that we're working on. I think it has been helping with his speech lately too. He's really funny when he says some words that we've been working extra hard on like snow (he usually pronounces it "no"), he walks around saying s...s...s...snow. So, if you hear him sounding out the first letter of a word several times before he says a word, that is why. He's working really hard on learning his letters and pronouncing them correctly. He's a smart little boy!

Nice Moth Friend!

Tonight we went to the high school football game in Fillmore. We had a tailgate dinner before the game with family and friends. It was a lot of fun. The game was great until the end when the Eagles lost. Still, it was fun to visit with friends and of course with Bart and Lorna. The kids always have a great time running around with cousins and friends. It's just a fun atmosphere. Anyway, after the game we loaded the kids in the car and started our trek home to Kanosh. Sabree had her light on which attracted a moth. She started complaining about the moth and didn't want anything to do with it. Luckily her brother was there to save the day! Oliver was so funny! He said, "That is my nice friend moth, he won't hurt you." Then he kept talking about this friend moth that must be lost from his house. He said, "It's ok nice friend moth, come here and I will help you." We pulled over and Oliver got out of his seat and was able to capture the friendly moth. Then he let it out the window and told everyone that the nice friend moth was just flying back to his home now. It was so funny the way he kept talking about his friend (I'm not sure if I should be worried, j/k). Oliver was a hero tonight. His sister sure appreciated him. Oliver always makes us laugh. He's such a cute kid! GO EAGLES!
